SONGWRITER SSHOWCASE

Songwriters Showcase is a unique monthly concert series held on the first Friday evening of each month October through May at HAVA JAVA CAFE, 16 Main St W, Beeton, ON. (905 748 0221)  This is a show that celebrates and is devoted to the art and craft of songwriting.  Founder and host George Scott welcomes premier singer songwriters from across Ontario and beyond. Whether it is stories of the road or tales of lost love, you’ll be entranced by the pure honesty and passion portrayed through these original songs. 

A Labour of Love …

Songwriters Showcase is a performance committed completely to the singer and the song.  Two feature artists join George for an intimate and acoustic performance in the cozy ambience of Hava Java.  Each singer performs their original compositions in a rotation format.  Shows start at 8:00 and finishes around 9:30 including an intermission.

Songwriters Showcase and Hava Java Cafe are also pleased to announce a monthly afternoon jam session on the first Saturday afternoon of each month from 1:00 – 3:00.  Musicians and music lovers of all stripes and abilities are welcome to this acoustic only informal song circle.  Next session scheduled for Saturday June 2nd at 1:00

Looking for some great live music on a Sunday afternoon this summer?  Come on out to Keogh Park in Tottenham (on Mill Street right across from the firehall) for a FREE concert series.  Shows are every Sunday from 1:00 – 3:00 through July and August (excluding July 8th).  Well-known performer Sean Burke will kick things off on July 1st.

We are also looking for musicians to volunteer as street buskers in Tottenham on Saturday July 7th between 10:00 and 4:00 as part of Tottenham Community Week.  Please email or call George Scott at 416 722 9795
